Everyone feels a little nervous before they take a test.  In fact, a little bit of stress before a test is actually a good thing.  Unfortunately, for some students, a test becomes an experience that produces fear, dread, and anxiety.  There are methods to help students reduce their anxiety.  The counseling department at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is available to help.  If you need help managing test anxiety, contact the counseling department.  Counseling Home Page
